It has been two years since I had been diagnosed with a heart condition. Since then, I have been recovering from bypass surgery. I need to thank Dr. Peter Wong and his associates for their timely discovery and on-going treatment; Karen Smith and the nurses and staff of the Same Day Surgery Unit; Dr. Craig Saunders and the entire Beth Israel (Newark) cardiac staff; and finally, but not least, the nurses of the Cardiac Rehab Unit of Bayonne Medical Center, Justine, Ginny and Linda, for their continued care. I now have more stamina and energy than I have had in the past 12 years.
Without your care and attention, I would not have been able to accomplish as much as I have in the last two years, including being grand marshal of the 2008 Bayonne St. Patrick's Day Parade. I truly owe all of you a debt of gratitude. Again, thank you all and God bless.
